The Endocannabinoid System

While the endocannabinoid system is a relatively recent discovery, science has found that it plays an important role in modulating pleasure, energy, and well being. Considering civilizations as far back as 30,000 years were using hemp. The science of CBD has about 29,900 years of catching up to do. In 1988 scientists discovered the cannabinoid-1 (CB1) receptor. The system essentially keeps track of the body building itself: anabolism or breaking down: catabolism. These interactions include endocannabinoids with endorphins, cytokines, growth factors, hormones, immune cells, cell regeneration.
